Chapter 5 – How It Works Page 58-63

● Set Aside Prayer:“God, please enable me to set aside everything I think I know, for an open mind and a new experience. Help me see the Truth about… ~ the failure of my life run on self-will and my decision to turn my will and my life over to the care of God..”

● Homework for this week:#1) Do the Transcription – BBA Workbook Page 46-50 / Big Book Pages: 58-63

#2) Read the section with the transcription and write your personal experience/reflections in the margin.

NOT IN THE WORKBOOK:#3) 3rd Step Prayer – the instructions tell us that the wording of this prayer is optional so long as we express the meaning without reservation.  The language used in the Big Book is not common to us today, yet it is important to have a personal experience with this prayer.

REWRITE the 3rd Step Prayer using language that makes sense to you.  It is important to express the same idea, but write the prayer with language that you would actually use in daily conversation.

NOTE: If you have any struggles with the transcription and would like guidance, please feel free to contact me.
